How can quantum technology power the green transition?

As our planet faces unprecedented environmental challenges, the search for innovative solutions has never been more urgent. Quantum technology is now emerging as a tool to help address these pressing issues with new energy optimization solutions, new modeling tools and accelerated material discovery.

This webinar will delve into the exciting intersection of quantum technology and the green transition, exploring how quantum technology – in particular quantum computing – can contribute to a more sustainable future.

The webinar is open to all and no prior knowledge about quantum technology is required. Join this webinar to explore the potential for quantum technology to become a driver for a more sustainable future.

Speakers

Discover how quantum companies are powering the green transition with presentations from:

Jan B. Lillelund, CTO, IBM Denmark

Jan Lillelund is an IBM CTO and an executive technical leader in application and platform innovation with a special focus on emerging and complex technologies. He has more than 40 years of experience with technical architecture on various assignments in a number of industries.  He has a strong focus on innovation and leverages his extensive network and wide knowledge in developing solutions for his customers.  He is a hands-on technologist used to working on the business level as well as implementing advanced and emerging technology successfully. Jan draws from an experience with a large number of complex and often international projects within infrastructure and applications, covering almost all aspects of IT solutions.

In his role as CTO, Jan engages with clients from startups to large enterprises on subjects such as Quantum Computing, AI / Machine Learning and Big Data.  Jan is also a sought-after speaker and recognised subject matter expert on a number of emerging technologies, including, and perhaps especially, Quantum Computing.

Rafał Ołdziejewski, Senior Numerical Specialist, Ørsted

Rafał is currently a numerical specialist at Orsted, trying to help the world run entirely on green energy by solving various optimisation problems across the company. In particular, he is leading Ørsted’s efforts to explore the emerging quantum technology landscape that may influence the way we approach modelling. His background is in theoretical physics and his last academic position before joining Orsted was as a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics.
