This event is hosted by Deep Tech Lab – Quantum.
Building on decades of fundamental research, new applications of Quantum Science have begun to emerge in the fields of computing, sensing, and networks. In this current phase of deployment, where quantum technology is transitioning out of the laboratory, venture capital plays a crucial role. In association with public funding programs, venture capital supports startups born in academic institutions and contributes to shaping the priorities of the ecosystem, guiding it towards applications with the greatest societal impact.
Christophe Jurczak will illustrate these themes with a case-study: the experience of the first dedicated quantum fund, Quantonation I. He will chronicle its impacts on the production of scientific knowledge, job creation, and industry funding. Additionally, he will discuss the next steps with a new fund, Quantonation II, which aims to invest with a more application and supply chain-oriented thesis. Proposals to strengthen the ecosystem with venture studios and co-design application centers will also be presented.
Networking Opportunity: Following the talk, we invite you to join us for an engaging networking session, providing you with the chance to connect with Christophe Jurczak and fellow attendees, including researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders.

Christophe Jurczak, who obtained his PhD in quantum physics under the supervision of 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics Laureate Alain Aspect, has a brilliant career in the quantum technology sector. His career includes strategic roles in government, energy and defense, as well as major contributions to quantum computing at QC Ware. Today, Christophe is co-founder and managing partner of Quantonation, the first venture capital fund dedicated exclusively to quantum technologies. He firmly believes in empowering innovation in this cutting-edge field, as evidenced by the objective of this first fund dedicated to “deep physics”. In addition to his activities at Quantonation, Christophe sits on the boards of several innovative startups, including PASQAL, Qubit Pharmaceuticals, QphoX, HQS Quantum Simulations, WeLinQ and Nord Quantique, playing a key role in shaping the future of quantum technology.
