Danish Quantum Community, together with the Danish Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs and the Danish Business Authority, is pleased to announce the 3rd Quantum Industry Day, taking place on May 27th, 2026. The event is kindly supported by the Danish Chamber of Commerce, Novo Nordisk Foundation and BioInnovation Institute.
As quantum technologies continue to gain strategic importance worldwide, this year’s conference will bring together key stakeholders from academia, industry, and government to explore the potential of quantum technologies and discuss how Denmark can strengthen its position in the global quantum landscape.
Throughout the day, keynotes and panel discussions with leading voices across the quantum ecosystem will provide insights into growth opportunities, scaling challenges, and how to strengthen public-private collaboration.
The 2026 edition will include a startup corner and pitch sessions showcasing emerging companies from the NATO DIANA program and Quantum Innovation Challenge, giving ventures the opportunity to connect directly with investors, corporates, and ecosystem partners.
Quantum Industry Day 2026 provides a unique platform to explore business opportunities, foster collaboration, and engage with the Danish quantum ecosystem and the broader innovation network.

Quantum Industry Day 2026 – Program
08.30 – 09.30:Registration and coffee
9.30 – 10.05: Official opening and welcome
10.05 – 10.20: Keynote
10.20 – 10.50: Panel: What does it take to build a world-class quantum ecosystem – and does Denmark have what it takes to play in the big league?
This panel explores what it takes to build a world-class quantum ecosystem – from excellence in research and securing access to talent and capital, state-of-the-art infrastructure to industry adoption and societal impact. As global competition accelerates, nations are racing to turn quantum breakthroughs into real economic and strategic advantage. Where does Denmark stand in this landscape and does Denmark have what it takes to play in the big league?
10.50 – 11.10: Coffee break
11.10 – 11.40: Panel: Voices of DQC – defining success in a global race
Denmark has strong foundations in quantum – but what will it take to move into the global top tier? This panel brings together leading voices from industry and academia to explore what success looks like for various types of stakeholders. Should Denmark focus on talent development, scalable production, or leadership within selected niches? The discussion will focus on strategic priorities levering experiences and perspectives from Danish industry representatives.
11.40 – 12.10: Panel: Turning Nordic ambition into action
In May 2025, the Nordic Prime Ministers and Heads of Government issued a joint statement calling for strengthened cooperation to ensure that the region remains at the forefront of global quantum developments and translates this position into tangible societal and economic value. This panel brings together leading Nordic voices to examine how this ambition can be operationalised in practice. The discussion will focus on identifying priority areas where joint Nordic action can deliver clear added value – particularly in scaling industry, aligning infrastructure, and strengthening engagement with European initiatives.
12.10 – 13.00: Lunch break
13.00 – 13.50: Panel: European pathways to global competitiveness in quantum
The Quantum Europe Strategy and the forthcoming Quantum Act signal a shift towards a more coordinated and outcome-oriented European approach to quantum technologies, closely linked to the broader competitiveness agenda. This panel examines how these initiatives can translate into practical pathways for scaling quantum startups and strengthening engagement with industrial end users. Bringing together European and Danish perspectives, the discussion will focus on where targeted collaboration can deliver the greatest impact – across value chains, between ecosystems, and in creating the demand conditions needed for commercialisation.
13.50 – 14.10: Keynote
14.10 – 14.30: Coffee break
14.30 – 15.30: Pitch session with NATO DIANA quantum startups
Pitch session for the 3rd cohort of BII quantum Lab in collaboration with the NATO DIANA startups. This session will include an introduction to the DIANA programme followed by pitches from the startups.
15.30 – 16.00: Quantum Innovation Challenge Finale
Meet the finalists of the Quantum Innovation Challenge – the first large scale and international challenge to advance (bio)pharmaceutical R&D with quantum and quantuminspired methods. The top three teams will present innovative solutions to challenges in pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) and the winner will be announced. The challenge has been organised by a consortium of Swiss and Danish industry partners, academic groups, startups, public actors, and hardware providers.
