Policies
We work closely with Danish authorities, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the best framework conditions for research and innovation in Denmark. Our mission is to increase knowledge about quantum technology, improve conditions for research & innovation and illustrate applications of quantum technology
Policies
Our vision is a strong Danish ecosystem enabling the realization of economical quantum technology.
From the very beginning, DQC has been actively engaged in policy work in various forms, ever since the idea of establishing DQC first took shape in 2019. This effort culminated in 2022 with the publication of the white paper Danish Quantum Agenda (DQA), a report that mapped the Danish quantum technology ecosystem and presented a roadmap of strategic initiatives designed to establish Denmark as a leading quantum player. DQA was the main foundation for the Danish government’s announcement in 2023 of a 4 year National Strategy
Danish Quantum Agenda 1.0
In 2022, Danish Quantum Community published The Danish Quantum Agenda. It presented recommendations for the strategic development of quantum technology in
Denmark.
2022
National Strategy
In 2023, the first Danish National Quantum Strategy was published. The strategy followed up on the majority of recommendations set out by DQC in Danish Quantum Agenda 1.0.
2023
Danish Quantum Agenda 2.0
DQC is currently working on The Quantum Agenda 2.0 which will provide a long term vision for the continued development of the Danish Quantum
ecosystem.
2026

Strategic policy fora
At DQC, we actively engage in a range of international policy fora (including MDQ – Multilateral Dialogue on Quantum) in order to remain closely aligned with international and European decision-making processes, while also representing and advancing the interests of our partners and the Danish quantum ecosystem.
DQC is a proud member of QuIC – the European quantum industry consortium
QuIC is a non-profit industry association, founded in 2021, dedicated to the growth of the commercial quantum technology sector. QuIC operates as a collaborative hub throughout Europe, bringing together hundreds of SMEs, large corporations, investors, research and technology organisations, and academic institutes, to build a strong, vibrant quantum ecosystem. Together, members of the association address topics of common interest, such as standardisation, intellectual property, trade, and workforce development.
