NOW OPEN: Quantum Innovation Challenge 2025

DQC is excited to share the launch of the Quantum Innovation Challenge 2025 – a global initiative inviting researchers, students and startups to explore how quantum technologies can transform the life sciences industry.

This years challenge focuses on one of the most critical hurdles in pharma: determining the right drug dose in early-stage clinical trials. Using a synthetic dataset, participants will apply quantum and quantum-inspired approaches to PK/PD modeling and drug development.  

Danish Quantum Community are proud to support this initiative organised and supported by several of our partners including BII, the Novo Nordisk Foundation, Novo Holdings, MFA Invest in Denmark, Danish Business Authority and MQS. 

What’s in it for the participants?

  • The Top 5 finalist teams will be invited to present at ETQC 2025 (10-12 November, Copenhagen) 
  • Finalist will gain access to investors, including Novo Holdings and QAI Ventures 
  • Participants will work with real-world use, real visibility and with real potential 
  • The winning team will receive extended access to the GEFION Supercomputer by DCAI

  • Applications Open: 31 July 2025 
  • Submission deadline: 30 September 2025 
  • EQTC Showcase (Top 5 finalist teams): 10–12 November 2025, Copenhagen 
  • After EQTC: Top 5 finalist teams to receive access to GEFION 
  • Final Winner Announcement: Spring 2026
