We are pleased to announce that Magnolia Quantum Sensing is joining the Danish Quantum Community as a new partner.
Founded in 2025, Magnolia Quantum Sensing is a new Danish quantum spin-out, born out of a scientific collaboration between the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen and the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (DRCMR) at Hvidovre Hospital. Their work is based on eight years of research in the field of advanced optical quantum sensing and MRI physics.
Magnolia Quantum Sensing develops the world’s first optical quantum sensor for direct magnetic field measurement in MRI. The EXAAQ sensor will unlock new capabilities in MRI-technology and remove uncertainty at the core of how images are formed. The vision is to become an integrated component in every future MRI system and to unlock the full potential of MRI, by combining quantum science with medical imaging.
On joining DQC, Hans Stærkind, Founder, Inventor, and CEO of Magnolia QS says:
“We are very excited and proud to become partners in the Danish Quantum Community. As a startup, it is incredibly valuable for us to be part of a community that contributes to building a trusted, strong, and mutually beneficial ecosystem. We very much look forward to the collaborations, dialogues, and innovation across the community.”
We are delighted to welcome Magnolia Quantum Sensing and look forward to strengthening the Danish quantum ecosystem together.
