We are pleased to announce that kiutra is joining the Danish Quantum Community as a new partner.
Founded in 2018 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich, kiutra develops advanced cryogenic cooling solutions for quantum technologies and other research applications.
kiutra’s mission is to democratize cryogenic technology by moving beyond traditional helium-3-based dilution refrigeration toward adiabatic demagnetization refrigeration, known as ADR. This approach is based on paramagnetic materials and magnetocaloric effects and reduces dependence on helium-3, one of the world’s scarcest natural resources, while enabling reliable and scalable ultra-low temperature systems.
In October, kiutra was announced as one of the first two investments by the newly established Danish quantum fund, 55 North. With its strategy of backing companies that reshape industries, accelerate discovery, and drive global progress, 55 North’s investment underscores the strong potential of kiutra’s technology and market position.
On joining DQC, Dr. Alexander Regnat, Managing Director, kiutra says:
“Denmark has been an important partner for kiutra from a very early stage. Danish research groups were among the first to trust our technology and became our first international customers. We are proud of the intensive and successful collaboration we have built over the years, and we are excited to continue and expand it. With our membership in the Danish Quantum Community, we look forward to strengthening our network, contributing actively to the ecosystem, and taking the next steps together with our Danish friends and new partners across the Nordics.”
We are delighted to welcome kiutra and look forward to strengthening the Danish quantum ecosystem together.
