Danish Quantum Community welcomes QUDORA Technologies as a new partner of DQC

QUDORA is a German quantum technology startup with operations in Braunschweig, Hamburg and Hannover. Founded in 2021 and emerging from Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS) – one of Germany’s premier quantum innovation hubs – the company has grown to employ over 30 professionals and has established itself as a significant player in the quantum computing landscape.

QUDORA specializes in developing and commercializing full-stack quantum computers utilizing ion-trap architecture and Near Field Quantum Control (NFQC) technologies. QUDORA also provides quantum computing as a service through their platform at cloud.qudora.com, making quantum capabilities accessible to researchers and enterprises.

In 2023 QUDORA, together with NXP Semiconductors, secured a €42 million contract with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) to build Xaphiro, a 50-qubit quantum computer. In June 2025, QUDORA’s Hamburg team achieved a critical milestone by successfully trapping single ions at the laboratory. This breakthrough laid the foundation for their quantum system, enabling the team to begin optimizing the technology in the coming months.

On joining DQC, Dr. Amado Bautista (CEO of QUDORA) says: “We are excited to join the Danish quantum ecosystem – one of the most collaborative and fast-growing communities in the field. With its unique pace and momentum, it represents the right place to accelerate progress and strengthen Europe’s position as a global quantum leader.”

Jani Heikkinen (VP of Business Development) follows up with: “We are very happy to become a member of DQC and begin collaboration with Denmark’s advanced quantum ecosystem. I am confident this partnership will create significant business opportunities for both us and our Danish partners as we work together to build this industry further across Europe.”

We are delighted to welcome QUDORA to the Danish Quantum Community. This partnership strengthens DQC’s network of quantum technology innovators and brings valuable expertise in ion-trap quantum computing to our community. We look forward to the collaboration opportunities this relationship will create.
