Phanofi is a deep-tech startup based at DTU Science Park in Lyngby, working to transform communication between datacenters by making it more efficient, faster, and scalable. The company is developing energy-efficient, high-speed photonic interconnect chips designed to power the internal communication infrastructure of AI datacenters.
Founded by CEO Hitesh Kumar Sahoo and CTO Dagmawi Alemayehu Bekele, Phanofi builds on more than a decade of research in photonics and semiconductors at DTU Electro. The company represents the point where strong academic capacity is translated into commercial innovation.
Building on Phanofi’s expertise in high-speed photonics and chip design, Phanofi is leveraging these capabilities to contribute to emerging quantum technologies. Our approach is focused and complementary, i.e. advancing datacenter communication today while laying the groundwork for quantum innovations tomorrow.
In November, Phanofi was featured at the Danish Quantum Pavilion at EQTC. The Pavilion highlighted the strength of the Danish quantum ecosystem and showcased Danish companies and their solutions to curious minds and European stakeholders. We were very happy to have them with us.
