DQC welcomes Copenhagen Capacity as a new partner
Copenhagen Capacity is the official organization dedicated to attracting international companies, talent, and investments to Eastern Denmark, leveraging the global brand of Copenhagen, the region’s unique business strengths, and Denmark’s innovation-friendly environment.
Established in 1994 as a non-profit foundation, Copenhagen Capacity is funded by both public entities and private foundations and companies. Its mission is to drive sustainable growth and help solve some of Denmark’s most pressing societal challenges—through knowledge, innovation, and international collaboration.
A Longstanding Quantum Advocate
Copenhagen Capacity has had quantum technology as an investment focus since 2016 and were co-organisers of Denmark´s first major quantum conference, Quantum Hub Denmark, in 2019 together with Invest in Denmark at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event, which was supported by the Niels Bohr Institute, Quantum DTU, and Microsoft, showcased Denmark’s academic and industrial strengths in quantum and was an early step in building international awareness of Denmark´s quantum ambitions.
Since then, Copenhagen Capacity has continued to focus on deep tech, including quantum, helping position Denmark as a global hub for quantum innovation and commercialisation. They have supported many of the foreign quantum companies which have established themselves in Denmark and they continue to deliver aftercare and support to the companies, including several DQC partners, after they have set up shop.
“I am very honoured to have Copenhagen Capacity become a formal partner of The Danish Quantum Community. They have shown leadership in supporting the Danish quantum ecosystem and agenda for almost 10 years and continue to be a cornerstone in attracting investments to Eastern Denmark that enables the development of quantum technology“
– Kristine Helen Falgren, Managing Director – Danish Quantum Community
