Most companies will start their entrepreneurial journey at university labs as spin-outs but as they mature they will need more tailored advise. Depending on your stage and needs we have gathered an overview over the main hubs and programs offered in Denmark
Innovation and Business Development support for Quantum Companies
BII Quantum Lab in collaboration with NATO’s DIANA supports early-stage start-ups. They focus on developing interdisciplinary teams, identifying and developing the most promising business case, and determining the most suitable technology development pathways.
BII Venture Lab provides funding, knowledge, infrastructure, and network to empower startups to take the first steps – and navigate the critical early stages. They offer founder-friendly terms, giving flexibility to grow, while building the skills and resilience to thrive.
Space Ventures DK is a national project offered in collaboration between The European Space Agency (ESA), The Danish Industry Foundation and four Danish universities. They support Danish startups and companies on their ventures into the space sector.
Defence Tech Denmark is a national growth program for startups and SMEs with technologies for – or originating from – the defence industry. The program gives companies access to networks, specialized knowledge, and resources that can help enter this complex and regulated market.
Tech for Fin is a startup program offered by Copenhagen Fintech (The National Danish Cluster for Finance and Fintech) for entrepreneurs and startups within other industries who would like to validate the problem-solution fit in fintech. Tech for Fin welcomes companies working with quantum technology as well.
TechStation is a Hard Tech Innovation Hub offering a highly specialized space for innovation and development for start-ups, SME’s, corporate labs and development projects. They have a strong connection to Kapacitet A/S – an R&D engineering consultancy with its main office at TechStation.
Quantum Denmark is a quantum commercialization hub in Copenhagen that aims to translate breakthrough scientific research into market opportunities. They offer access to lab facilities and test facilities and contact to global entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders.
Accelerace is a leading pre-seed investor and startup accelerator in the Nordics offering several accelerator and mentoring programmes for startups in different industries and stages. Accelerace also offers matchmaking between startups and corperates.
Weibel Ventures is a venture studio owned by Weibel offering early stage entrepreneurs and startups funding and support for business development to accelerate deep tech, frontier physics, and radical R&D. Their goal is a free, wealthy, and sovereign Europe.
